Today I learned what a dike is in geology. Apparently its when minerals grow in a vertical line to fill in a rock structure. Or I’m pretty sure that was the definition…I was a little distractedby the smirk on my face, the laugh inside of me and the internal thought of “wow…and I thought I had dykes all figured out”
Studying for my geology midterm tomorrow. This is a really cool representation of the 4.6 billion years that earth has been around.
